Advanced Micro Instruments, Inc. (AMI) announced today that its latest TDL Moisture Analyzer, the BARRACUDA 4010LX, is now released, and the company has begun taking orders. The unit can monitor moisture levels of natural gas in pipelines up to 20.0 lbs (420 ppm) through continuous rapid measurements that are accurate to 0.25 lbs (5.25 ppm). Its rugged, compact design and minimal power requirements make field installations possible in some of the most challenging environments.
The 4010LX replaces the 4010BR in AMI’s product line and retains many of the innovative and proprietary technologies seen in its predecessor. Among them is AMI’s patented ELIMINATOR HERRIOTT CELL BLOCK, which results in the Analyzer having the shortest gas path, fastest and most accurate moisture readings and smallest overall dimensions in the industry.
Additionally, the 4010LX debuts new features that further optimizes performance and ease of use. These include:
- The ability for the customer to clean the cell block mirrors in the field
- Improved Analyzer Guardian technology in the cell block to resist flooding
- AC Power is now rated for 100-240 VAC
- Increased upper temperature spec of 149°F (65°C)
- New approvals - ATEX and IECEX approvals for Class 1, Div. 1, Groups B,C & D, as well as IP65 ingress protection
As with all AMI Analyzers, the MODEL 4010LX can interface with the COMMAND CENTER Software through any computer connection for access to advanced Analyzers features and setting customizations. Users can adjust alarm configurations, download time-stamped data logs, set analyzer security, and even realign laser absorption peaks using our SMART REALIGNMENT protocol.
