Advanced Micro Instruments (AMI) is excited to release the next generation of its popular portable gas analyzers. Available for immediate shipment, the 1000BX Portable Oxygen Analyzer and 3000BX Portable Trace H2S Analyzer offer a collection of new features to expand the user experience. Enhancements over the earlier designs include a large backlit display, an inlet pressure measurement, longer battery life, charging and data access via a USB-C plug, and a protective rubberized outer covering. Additionally, for those who use the analyzers’ data logging feature, the units now store measurement data without needing to preselect a measurement range.
The analyzers still feature AMI’s unique ELIMINATOR CELL BLOCK which eliminates potential leak points and reduces the distance traveled by the sample gas, all in a single, compact block. The result is fast, accurate measurements in a small and lightweight package. The 1000BX utilizes AMI’s proprietary oxygen sensors offered with a measurement range of either 0 to 10,000 ppm or 0 to 25%. The 3000BX is offered with a low range sensor measuring 0 to 200 ppm hydrogen sulfide or a high range sensor measuring 0 to 2,000 ppm hydrogen sulfide.
“It’s great to see these new product offerings for our customers,” said Kevin Bates, president of AMI. “I am confident our customers will be pleased with the enhanced features of this next generation product that will continue deliver the superior performance they expect from AMI.”
For measurement technicians who have used AMI’s previous handheld gas analyzers, they will appreciate the improved user experience of the new 1000BX and 3000BX portable analyzers. For a user who is new to the AMI solution, they will instantly see the ease of use over other portable analyzer options as well as the clear advantage over pulling sample tubes for spot checking key gas measurements.
