The AMI Watchdog is a low cost state-of-the-art trace oxygen analyzer designed for applications requiring only essential features in Class I, Div. 2 Groups C, D environments.

The Watchdog is well suited for a number of applications including the natural gas industry. It provides the essential components required for a complete, quick and simple installation where trace oxygen analysis is required and advanced features of the Model 2010BR may become
redundant.

Prior to the release of the AMI Watchdog, competitive low cost solutions consisted of either a two-wire transmitter or an O2 sensor and cellblock. Both are inadequate by themselves since they lack an essential sample system and basic electronic components. A trace oxygen analyzer is a great leak detector; inadvertently adding substandard valving and fittings after the purchase of such a device can create minute leak paths into the analyzer, which can cause disastrously misleading results.

This is why AMI goes the extra distance with our patented cellblock technology.

AMI's patented cellblock begins with a single compact metallic block that undergoes a complex machining process, followed with corrosion-resistant nickel plating. The block contains a series of drilled intersecting gas passages and mounted directly on it are: a custom designed flow control valve, 3-way selector valve (for sample/span/shut off control), flow meter and 3 gas connection fittings. All become an integral part of the cellblock.

This eliminates the techniques used by competitors of piecing several lengths of tubing between numerous compression fittings, valving and a flow meter. In using this approach, they add many potential leak paths, increase response times and the need for additional space.

The Watchdog essentials include:

  • Patented cellblock technology
  • 10 User-selectable analog output ranges
  • 2 User selectable analog outputs: 1-5VDC or 4-20mA. selectable via available software
  • LCD readout from 0.0ppm to 25.0%
  • Advanced calibration feature - calibrates flow computer or PLC to the analyzers analog
output allowing the PLC or flow computer to track the analyzer precisely
  • Remaining oxygen sensor life indication

When the application requires, we can provide one of our patent pending H2S resistant oxygen sensors (up to 500ppm H2S exposure for its warranted life) to meet your needs.

This break-through sensor technology eliminates the need for maintenance intensive H2S scrubbers.

This rugged, compact, complete oxygen analyzer allows for quick and simple installation resulting in big savings.

AMI guarantees higher quality and exceptional services at a lower price.
