The AMI Watchdog is a Low Cost state-of-the-Art trace oxygen analyzer designed for applications requiring only essential features in Class 1, Div. II Groups C and D environments.

The Watchdog is well suited for a number of applications including the natural gas industry. It provides the essential components required for a complete, quick and simple installation where trace oxygen analysis is required and advanced features of the Model 2010BR may become redundant.

A two-wire transmitter or an O2 sensor and cellblock are inadequate by themselves since they lack essential sample system and basic electronic components. A trace oxygen analyzer is a great leak detector; adding substandard valving and fittings can create minute leak paths into the analyzer, which can cause disastrously misleading results.

The Watchdog essentials include:
  • Patented cellblock technology incorporating a complete sample system - including a metering valve, flow meter, span gas port, 3-way valve all integral to one compact cellblock
  • 10 User-selectable analog output ranges
  • User selectable analog outputs- 1-5VDC or 4-20ma
  • LCD readout
  • Advanced calibration feature - calibrates flow computer or PLC to the analyzer allowing the PLC or flow computer to track the analyzer precisely
  • O2 Sensor life indication

The Watchdog uses our patented cellblock technology, an advanced approach in achieving a complete compact sample system.

The cellblock consists of a single compact metallic block that undergoes a complex machining process, followed with corrosion-resistant nickel plating. The block contains a series of drilled gas passages eliminating the need for long lengths of tubing and compression fittings. Also integral to the compact block; are a metering valve, flow meter and a 3-way sample/span/shut off valve. This sophisticated design allow us to maintain a very compact package, eliminate potential leak sources and also results in a quicker up and down scale response times.

The microprocessor-based electronics package includes a LCD measuring from 0.1ppm to 25.0% oxygen, 10 user-selectable analog output ranges to choose from and an advanced calibration function allowing the user to zero out any differences between analyzer output and PLC. Standard analog outputs include both an isolated 1-5VDC and isolated 4-20ma that can be selected with a click of a button.

When the application requires, we can provide a one of our patent pending H2S resistant oxygen sensors (up to 500ppm H2S exposure for its warranted life) to meet your needs. This break through sensor technology eliminates the need for maintenance intensive H2S scrubbers.

The rugged, compact, complete oxygen analyzer allows for quick and simple installation resulting in big savings.
